When you contact me, place an order, or make an enquiry, I may collect information such as your name, email address, delivery and billing details, order information, and anything you choose to include in a message or custom request. If you choose to provide a telephone number, I may also receive that information.

Payment details are handled securely by the payment provider used at checkout. I do not receive or store your full payment card details.

How I use your information

I use your personal information only where it is needed to respond to enquiries, discuss personalised or custom requests, process and fulfil orders, arrange delivery, provide customer service, handle returns or refunds, and keep records where required for business, accounting or legal purposes.

Depending on why I need to use your information, I may do so because it is necessary to take steps before entering into a contract or to fulfil a contract with you, because I have a legal obligation, or because I have a legitimate interest in running Monika & Makers and providing good customer service.

I do not currently use information submitted through the contact form for email or SMS marketing.

Who I share information with

I do not sell your personal information.

Where necessary, I may share personal information with trusted service providers that help me run Monika & Makers, such as Squarespace, email services, payment providers and delivery companies. I may also share information where I am legally required to do so.

Some service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards must be in place to protect your information.

How long I keep your information

I keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected.

Information connected with orders, payments and business records may need to be kept for longer where this is required for accounting, tax or other legal purposes.

Information from general enquiries that do not lead to an order will not be kept longer than reasonably necessary.

Under UK data protection law, you may have rights over your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, these can include the right to ask for access to your information, to have inaccurate information corrected, to request deletion or restriction, to object to certain uses of your information, and to request data portability.
